  • If you have any sense of taste for coffee you should know that Seeker's is not a place to go for good coffee. I once asked how their iced coffee was made, as a toddy brew is the only way I enjoy it. I understand a lot of places take hot coffee and pour it over ice (still too acidic for me), but I was shocked when the answer was "We take the left over coffee from the day before and put it in the fridge." YUCK! Do you not have any pride in your product? There's a fine line between saving a buck and doing a disservice to your customers. As a meeting place, it's nice. There's plenty of space to meet up with people and many of non-coffee selections for those who don't enjoy coffee. I've been there several times for their concerts, as a good friend of mine has family that has shows there often. The sound system is nice and the concert setup is good. The problem is they have redic cover for their shows. $5 + drink = too much for a coffee shop show. It really should be free/donations and the coffee shop should be able to support itself on it's own. But this may all stem from my earlier comment on the product. It's too bad Mentor can't have a nice coffee shop with quality, fair-trade roasts and brewing. But it really all stems from the American consumerism that dominants our town. So I would say I would much rather support Seeker's than Starbucks.
