  • The average three star rating for this hotel seems to be pretty accurate. Our particular weekend visit had a lot of downsides since they closed the pool because it was apparently too cold? (high 70s) and the bridge from the parking structure to the hotel was also closed so it felt like we had to walk over a mile just to get to our car. The difference between check-in and check-out is night and day. There was a huge line for checking in even though we arrived about 2-3 hours after after the 3pm check-in time, don't know if this is how it is with most Vegas hotels but the wait was insanely long. However, checking out was very convenient since they offer various options for it. When booking I made the mistake of booking our room in the tower and not the pyramid but it turned out to be a good thing. The rooms in the tower were nicer, had upgraded bathrooms, and even slightly bigger than those in the pyramid. The rooms for others in our party who stayed in the pyramid seemed more outdated and the elevators in the pyramid are just confusing. I will say that staff was very friendly, casino/design inside was fun, Backstage Deli had really good food, simply heading down for the Criss Angel show was convenient, and I liked how it connects with the Mandala Bay as well, shark reef there was pretty fun! There were additional unexpected charges during check-in and the buffet package we purchased when we booked our rooms was pretty deceiving since it only included buffet access once during the duration of our stay, which was multiple days rather than once a day, which was what we thought but the buffet wasn't all that great anyway. Parking also seemed quite expensive ($10/day). Being on the strip is always fun so I guess this was an alright deal for a hotel on the strip. Don't know if I'd stay here again though.
