| - I have lived here for over a year now and just renewed my lease for another 6 months. You truly can't beat the location of this complex-- because of this alone, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It is within 5 miles of every restaurant, bar, grocery store and shopping center I ever need to go to. The maintenance staff is incredibly kind and competent. If they don't get something right the first time, they come back as soon as possible to fix it again without complaint. However, I can't say the same about the management team and there have been several things throughout my residency that have displeased me. For instance, the updates do not seem to be completed as specified on the website or shown on our initial tour of the property. From what I've gathered from various neighbors and former residents, this is a common issue through many apartments in the complex and the buildings across the street from the office were neglected in particular. I don't think it's fair to show someone an entirely renovated property then move them into a partial renovation. I still have popcorn ceilings and random stucco walls as well as an outdated shower, tub, doors/frames, lighting fixtures and shelving. Upon our move-in date, we were told we would only be given the green light once our vents were cleaned out. We were told this was completed so we moved all our stuff in then turned the AC on only for all of our possessions to be coated in the black soot coming out of every single air vent-- including a brand new white plush chair that was ruined beyond repair. To this day, we still have black stuff coming out of our vents that has to be cleaned off our furniture on a regular basis. The new technology package that forced residents to downgrade to spectrum cable and internet services was a complete SCAM. We were given a months notice that the entire complex would be switching to Spectrum and they didn't seem to care that we were in a 2 year contract with AT&T. We had to buy our way out of this contract just to downgrade our cable and internet services to the point where I wouldn't even use it. I paid the same price they're charging us for this worthless Spectrum package when I had AT&T services.. the only difference is that AT&T provides twice as many channels and allowed us to record shows. Now I'm being forced to pay for something I legitimately won't even use. It is extremely inconsiderate for the management staff to implement this with the people that are already residents. The amenities are decent except for the apartment gym, which I use on a regular basis. Since I've lived here, only one out of the three treadmills work and the TV's are next to impossible to control (I have to stand on an exercise ball and put the remote directly to the receiver just to change the channel, although this method only works 1 out of 5 times). The number of roaches I see in my apartment on a regular basis is pretty unbearable considering my ability to maintain an extremely clean living environment. I also don't like that I have to pay $50 per month for valet waste but have to go to the dumpster just as frequently, if not more, since they don't take recycling. Overall, the experience has been mostly positive. I have plenty of privacy despite living in an apartment and the neighbors don't bother me, except the old man below me who listens to Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 on full volume every day
