  • I'm glad someone else already has dropped props for this awesome resource. I took a couple programming courses at LV back in 2006 as part of career training (as referenced in prior reviews about Maryland Parkway facilities), and I remember being literally overwhelmed by Lied and how much of the in-house resources were made available to the general public. Non-students could open up accounts to gain access to more archives. I was again made aware of this fact a couple weeks ago, as I needed to research several legacy platforms for a work project and couldn't find enough schematics at the Clark County Library District's holdings. Also, the fact that the library system here stays open until midnight (and even 24 hours prior to exam week) helped me a LOT in putting together a workable design after-hours. I'm glad the internet access policies have stayed the same (detailed in www.library.unlv.edu) as during my very brief time as a returning student....and I think those fortunate enough to have this as their "second home" shouldn't take it for granted. Ahh, to be young and dumb again......
