| - I missed my connecting flight due to delays in Beijing, but many flyers were connecting to Boston so Air Canada took the extra step and had everything prepared by the time we landed.
The shuttle that took us here ran every 30 minutes and by the time we arrived at the hotel it was already 10:45PM. Two front desk people and some 12-15 exhausted flyers. They handled the crowd pretty well and we were all squared away in like 10 minutes. I have to give props to the Chardonnay restaurant staff. They normally close at 11PM but because there were so many hungry people with vouchers that needed to be used they remained open for over an a hour after their shift should have ended. The food is overpriced, the burger I ordered was a tad dry but it was huge, but I saw someone eating calamari and that looked pretty good.
The room was clean, big, but a tad outdated. They still have the huge tube TVs and there are no ceiling lights but lamps all over the room. The bathroom had body wash, shampoo, and lotion, white fluffy towels, and a hair dryer. The tub had a small hole in it though.
The bed was super soft and I felt like I was sleeping on clouds. So firm bed sleepers beware? There's also a mini-fridge and a small sitting area, full length mirror, and closet too. There's a pool located somewhere in the hotel and I was bummed I couldn't take advantage of it since my connecting flight was 8AM the next morning, but people in other reviews have said it's quite nice.
