  • I rented a car from here for only a day to jaunt up to Sedona since my little hybrid would hate me forever for gunning it up the mountains and breaking all the way back home. I've rented many cars in my past and I have never had to give so much information about my job, bills, proof of residency and the list goes on and oh yeah -3 references since I didn't use a credit card and used my Visa debit. I've rented a car from the Seattle Airport a few years back with the same situation but I was renting for 7 days and they didn't ask for anything of the sort except holding $200? on my card. I get it but it was almost a hassle if I didn't have all of this info on my phone. Did I miss the fine print on the website when I booked my rental? Probably but I wish they would give people a bigger warning before you come to pick up your car. This place seems like a training center and the young trainees use the "script" when trying to up sell you on the insurance and just the whole transaction in general. The younger girl probably in her early 20's checking the car out with me "I wouldn't let my parents rent this car without the insurance" and when she finished up her paper work she shook my hand. I get it but know your audience. I've worked a job like this before but I would know what to say in different situations and not say verbatim the script. I guess in time after customers scream at her or get generally pissed off for asking for everything but their blood type for renting a car for one day she'll figure it out. Now as for the vehicle I rented...I didn't expect much since it was the cheapest car in their fleet and basically the valley. Like I said before I've rented a lot of cars in my day and most of them are newish but well taken care of. Not in this case. The car was still dirty. Like it was never cleaned from the last customer. Gross. See photos. Since I was only going to be in the car for a few hours I didn't raise a stink about it plus the place was busy for a Wednesday morning and didn't want to deal with it. Just make sure the car is clean before you leave the lot if this freaks you out.
