Bloor Street Market, you are a strange place indeed.
LAYOUT - Was this store laid out by a drunk?! There is essentially no logic or order to how products are laid out and having a sort of "L" shape with two distinct areas of freezer cabinets and shelved goods makes for a whirlwind of a grocery trip. Fresh produce is awkwardly place just before the checkouts, with salads and bakery sections in little "nooks" behind and the whole section feels rather congested. I can never seem to locate anything.
STAFF - I will say that the times (read: every single time) I go here and need help finding something the staff are quite knowledgeable and happy to help.
PRICES/VALUE - I find prices here to be inflated as they are at most Loblaws downtown. However the price gauging seems especially bad at this location
SELECTION - Surprisingly, they have a fair selection here on par with most grocers in the area. That is, if you can manage to navigate the maze of a layout here.
Overall, this grocer is convenient if you are running errands pr live in the immediate area or shopping mall; but there is really no reason to go out of your way to do your groceries here.
