  • I have eating the foods from Chef Mayra from when she had her little jewel restaurant near downtown. I'll never forget the first time I had her food. Flavor from all places. Sadly, soon after the restaurant closed up. I stumbled upon her a few years later at Tivoli Village, a few private parties, a dinner under the stars and most recently tasted her culinary creations at a private event at the Tuscany. Flavor, flavor, flavor. You never know what to expect except an explosion of new flavors when you try something new. Her passion, her vibration, her authenticity and her fire shows up in her food. You can't find her foods elsewhere. It's tasty and makes you want to come back to more. Thank you Dr. Flavor for sharing your gift with the world and for my senses.
