I think Fremont Street Experience is something everyone who visits Vegas should see at least once. The neon is unreal. It's old Vegas kicked up a notch! Sure the newer Strip is more classy and the hotels more ornate, but Fremont is special in its own way and should be appreciated as such.
The four corner hotels of Fremont, Four Queens, Golden Nugget and Binion's is a sight to behold. Be ready with a camera when you come here. Have as steady a hand as possible and use no flash.
My favorite hotel on Fremont is Golden Nugget. It has SUCH a 60's retro vibe with the most amazing lighting fixtures!
Fremont Street is quirky and flashy and that's what makes Vegas VEGAS. Just go early enough before things get a little TOO crazy! Not the best place for kids.
And guys, don't keep your wallet in your back pocket here. Once the lights go off and the ceiling show starts, everyone is looking up and it's prime time for pickpockets.
