| - I decided to try Dollys because it's closer to my house. I made an appt and went in the same afternoon. The staff is friendly, it's run by a husband and wife team and they were the only people in the shop.
Tony did my pedicure and it was the most uncomfortable pedicure I've ever had. The reason being, they use a salt scrub on your legs so as they massage, the salt crystals are digging into your tender skin. It was not pleasant. He also has a very firm hand and at one point I told him it was painful and too hard. He waved off my concerns saying you have to massage hard to relax the muscle. I was so relieved when he was done, worst pedicure I've ever had. In addition to this, he never told me he was using callus remover, he never asked to charge me an additional $13 for callus remover! I've never been to a salon that charges $13 for this! Normally is around $5-$6. So I paid $35 for that horrible pedicure. Totally unacceptable. There should be more communication and the customer needs to be offered services.
Dolly did my nails, she did a good job on shaping my nails and painting. They looked very pretty, that is why I'm giving them 2 stars. Unfortunately, two of my nails on my left hand are lifting after two weeks. I've been having my nails done for 5+ years and I rarely ever have lifting since I'm not hard on my nails, especially on my left hand since I'm right handed. I had considered going back and having Dolly do my nails but after they started lifting, I decided to keep looking.
