| - I went to the grand opening last night and it was certainly hoppin!!! (Ha..ha ha) Tables were packed, standing room only, and it took about 20 minutes to get some brews at the bar. There were maybe 4 bartenders on duty and everyone was hustling for sure, maybe they didn't anticipate such a big crowd. There was a food truck out front and three separate bands played throughout the night.
There were four HopNuts beers on tap, a hef, stout, pale ale, and IPA. Was there a porter? Maybe? The Pale Ale was incredibly hoppy and bitter for my taste, so I can't imagine what the IPA was like. The stout was pretty good, not the best I've ever had. Same price for goblet or pint regardless of beer, $6, or take home a growler. They also had other breweries on tap which was pretty cool.
The front patio had plenty of seating as the night wore on and had a fun "house party" vibe, which was reinforced by red solo cups, long lines in the bathroom with screaming drunk women, and people dropping glasses left and right as their 5th and 6th beers made their way through their blood stream. Bitchin time!
