Time share BS! I'll give you the short story to this nightmare.
While checking out at Luxor I stupidly purchased a coupon for a free 3 night stay, they reimburse you after attending the sales presentation. Initially they told us it would take 2-3 hours depending on our level of interest. We made an appointment for the 12:35 presentation but when we showed up my wife didn't have her ID. They forced us to come back with her ID for the 1:35 presentation. They threatened to charge us full rate for our room if we didn't attend. They picked us up at 1:35 and drove us into what felt like the middle of no where, South Point 10 miles south of the strip. We sat in a a waiting room for about 20 minutes until our sales rep called our names at 2:15pm. Karen was nice and professional. We were obviously not interested and couldn't wait for this ordeal to be over. She reminded us she had us for 2 hours starting at 2:15, WTH! The clock started for us at 1:35pm when we got on the bus. The company RCI sells 2nd rate leftovers to resort/hotels all over the world. Good luck getting the dates you want after buying. Their online reviews are awful and so is their customer service. They try to sell you bad timeshares for a 17.9% interest rate and your committed to it for 7 years and you have to pay $800 per year for maintenance even if you don't use it. The "Grandview" is more like the "Mediocreview" in my opinion. This hotel is lame and far from the strip. I would never stay here, it's pathetic. At 4:30 after we had said no a million times we get their "closer" sales rep. He didn't stand a chance, we were very upset at this point and let him know. We still had to talk to about 3 other people before we could leave. My favorite part was leaving. Once we got on the bus we had to wait about 20 minutes for everyone else before we could leave. We were FINALLY back at Luxor at 5:30pm. What an awful waste of time, I would have preferred paying regular rate for our room instead of going through this experience.
