  • We stopped at the Torrid among the Tangier Outlet in Metro Phoenix. "OOHHH Torrid," I sighed among my uninitiated friends, thinking of the fun, flattering and edgy items I own. "Sounds like we need to check it out" they said, and we did. I adore Torrid. Any woman who's larger than a size 10 can find cute, well made things to wear, that fit attractively, here. I first discovered Torrid a few years ago while shopping for dresses to wear to a legendary wedding in Palm Springs. I'll never forget the feeling of flying solo, looking stunning and turning men's heads, in flattering dresses that fit me perfectly from the clearance rack. Ever since then Torrid has been a staple in my arsenal. As we age stuff moves around on our bodies and even with maintenance, figures change. My girlfriend who doesn't remotely have a weight problem commented that she liked how the pants she tried on fit - higher waist. I got myself an adorable military style jacket and two tops and was pleased with how little I spent. I'll always be happy to add clothing from Torrid to my wardrobe!
