  • This place is really fun! My parents loved my Christmas gift to them! As You Wish is a pottery art place where you walk inside, choose some unpainted object off the wall (cups, plates, statues, pots, wall decor, ash trays, etc.), choose some paint, paint, and then submit to them to get baked in the oven. They will ship your finished product anywhere which was a huge plus for me. The whole experience was so fun. I really enjoyed painting whatever I wanted knowing that after they baked it, it would appear very shiny and professionally done. My parents love the two tea cups I painted for them last Christmas. As You Wish has a huge selection and are reasonably priced (I paid something in the ballpark of 50 bucks for two cups including paint, bake, and shipping). Only problem is that my parents refuse to use the cups I painted because it's so special for them--they just sit in display in their kitchen--lame. I've never really done anything like this so I'd highly recommend giving it a go if you have a couple hours and want to put together a very meaningful gift with minimal "work". If you're reading this Mom, I didn't put in minimal work on your cup--I actually spent a lot of time with the fine detail.
