I was seen by this group in 2009 through the ER and then in the office, had a stress test and released. Then a couple of weeks ago another problem popped up and I had to call them for an appointment. I was told I had a collection balance and had to come up with almost $300 to make an appointment or get anything from them. I told them I was never informed of this balance, don't even have that insurance anymore and was not able to pay that. So I would pay $30. They unlocked my account and made the appointment. When I got to the office for my appointment, the woman ahead of me was being held up because the front desk had not verified any insurance or obtained any auth before appointment and they were messaging the billing office and waiting for answers before they would do anything. When it got to me they kept saying my account was locked and they were waiting for billing to tell them what to do. When I explained what had happened when I called they just said they had to wait. I told them I would wait for 10 minutes and I was leaving if they were that unorganized. My account was very quickly fixed and I was put in a room.
They are extremely unorganized, charges are outrageous for services and front office staff is rude. The doctor I saw was very thorough but I am not sure if it is worth the hassle.
