| - I have a sweet tooth. There is no other way around it. It makes things easier for me to simply admit the fact that sweets are among my weaknesses so I can stop the harebrained idea, which I get here and there, to give up sweets. I have known for the longest time that trying to tame my affinity for sweets is tantamount to me setting myself up for failure. So yes, I have a sweet tooth.
Anytime I am travelling, I make it a point to try to find the most decadent dessert - ice cream, cupcakes, donuts, pastries... (Really, I can go on and on, but I am sure you get the gist . "Boring my Yelp review reader" is not part of my afternoon agenda today.) For my most recent visit to Vegas, Serendipity was most definitely in my radar.
We landed at 9:15 PM and we rushed to Caesar's Palace with one mission in mind: Frrrozen Hot Chocolate should be the first thing to touch our lips in Las Vegas. 9:50 PM and we were there, the restaurant was already closing down so we ran to their takeout window. Perhaps sensing my desperation, the manager was kind enough to give our party The Paddle. He who holds the paddle is the last customer of the day and gets a free Frrrozen Hot Chocolate! Our responsibility was to tell people who would come after us that they should not bother and we get a free drink. Free dessert with a side of bossing strangers around with a license? Sounds like a great deal to me!
We got the Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, Oreo Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, and the White Chocolate Frrrozen Hot Chocolate. While all are delicious, the original one was the best. We also got a giant doughnut that is as big as my head for $5. It was a very good doughnut, not too sweet that it gets too tiresome to one's taste buds but still on the side of decadent. It was very soft and almost cake-like.
I have a sweet tooth and I enjoyed indulging myself at Serendipity.
