  • Where do I begin? My fiance and his daughter went down to look at cars, my fiance saw an Elantra 2012 with a sticker of 8000. He has Fair Credit but he wanted his daughter to co-sign so he would get less of an interest rate. The salesman said oh your credit is fine you don't need to have a cosigner blah blah blah. So he gets the car brings home the receipt and I tell him the car is 13000 not 8000 and explain to him all the charges that they added on including that stupid $500 administration fee. Anyway after we wash the car we noticed on the front hood that it was may be buffed too much or something but it's all messed up and they told us basically we bought the car as is. Then I noticed there was no spare tire, I went to the manager and I said for the amount of money we just paid for this car we need to have a donut and he was courteous enough to give us the spare tire kit. So we're driving the car for a while and it had a problem and we took it in and were told that it needed an engine. So they gave us a rental and kept the car for over two weeks, got a used engine from some junkyard that had 38,000 miles on it and put it in. I requested the paperwork four-set engine and Chris gave me a run around saying they have to look for it somehow it got lost and I can't find it, it took a week for them to find this paperwork. So me while the car still has a shake to it when it's idling. Chris the service advisor it's motor mounts and that the warranty doesn't cover that and it would be $349. So my fiance checked the motor mounts and they are fine. So we go back to the dealer and tell them to raise the idle that it seems like the idle is the problem and we're told the idle is set at what the factory wants it set at and didn't do anything to solve the problem. Said we can leave the car and they would check it but if they don't find anything wrong it's $50. So apparently they cost $50 you bring your car for a problem but if they deem there is no problem you have to pay. So the extended warranty we finally decided to cancel and the finance manager Daniel said it will take up to 3 months for the cancellation to go into effect, what the hell is that. When you cancel something it should be immediate, so for the next 3 months they're still going to get paid on the warranty even though we cancel it. And that's all we owe on the car is that stupid warranty. Now the moral of the story is don't buy from Hyundai Superstore. When you call and leave a message they don't call you back you have to call again and then maybe they'll call you back. Customer service not very good, it's just a hassle. Now had I been with my fiance and his daughter at the time of this purchase, this purchase never would have happened. I saw so many problems with the contract but my fiance just signed where they told him to sign and believed in them. It's sad how they ripped him off. So just beware. We started out with a service advisor his name is Peter and he was wonderful I would like to give credit where credit is due, but he moved on to another department and then we had got someone named Chris who by the way not only is a service advisor but he's also a Salesman. I just feel we were taken advantage of as my fiance is a little bit mentally challenged and it's just not right all they care about is getting rid of the car they don't care about your money or you. How does an $8,000 car get jumped to 13? And we're still driving it with the shimmy that they said is motor mounts and it's not, so now we don't know what to do. I think my fiance will take it to his private mechanic. So like I said all they're interested in is getting the car off the lot by anyway they can. Terrible.
