We were lucky to be able to hike right after a rain and area was beautiful and lush! Even without that, the hiking has something for everyone, offers beautiful views, and gives visitors a true taste of desert plant life. There are some simple, flat areas to take a nature walk if you are not up for the rocky hikes a little further out. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. The restrooms at the entrance are really nice, kind of surprising for a trailhead! Although we were there in February, I am sure it gets really hot with no shade during warmer days, so bring lots of sunscreen, wear a hat, and start early. There is something for everyone and all ages will love it!
