This should be ZERO STARS. We had a flight booked for midnight from Las Vegas back to Pittsburgh P.A. and arrived at the airport about an hour prior to the flight. As we approached the baggage counter the 3 of us got out our ID's and they stared with my bags. My bag was weighted and tagged then sent to be placed in the cargo area. my friend and his wife's bags were deemed to be "overweight" again just like when we left for our trip a few days earlier. After arriving in Las Vegas a few days ago we were told to call Spirit Airline to be refunded or given credit for bags my friend and his wife has pay for online. We they contacted the airline they were told when we flew back to Pittsburgh P.A. to speak to a Supervisor at the baggage check in would credit their bags and they would not be charged at the airport and they would receive a refund from the airline. When we spoke to the baggage employee she called over a supervisor and we explained to them what the people at the customer service line had told us. The "Supervisor" told us that they could not refund or allow their bags to fly for "free" just because of the Military discount. When they asked what would it cost, the supervisor replied "$135.00 so you can have your bags fly with you on your trip". The only way we could fix this was to pay the $135.00 to let the bags fly. This airline is a "No Frills/Bargain" airline, but if you are planning a trip and going for more than a 1 or 2 day trip I would consider another airline for your flight.
