  • The technicians was diagnostic the problem wrongly and refused to admit it. Here is my real story and I am asking BBB for help now. On June 13, I brought my car Autonation Toyota Tempe for oil change and check the overheat problem. Later that day, Michelle Alarie - an adviser told me the cost to fix the overheat problem would be around $1,400. I agreed with her to fix it. It took a week for them to fix it. On June 22, I picked up my car and paid them total of $1431.21. The next day, June 23, I drove my to Glendale - after about 15 minutes, the temperature gage went up - close to red mark. So, Monday June 26, I brought my car back to dealer to ask them re-fixing it. Michelle told me the cost to fix it around $700. I did not agree because they charge me $1400 for nothing, if I don't want to say it made worse. I emailed the Service Manager Mike Priolo and he stated "... At times an overheating problem may not show themselves right away , now in your case we replaced a known broken part and test drove to confirm the repair which checked out ok and repaired as your vehicle did not overheat nor did the temp gauge rise..". So, at the time they fixed my car, the heating problem may not show??? then how and why they fixed and charged me $1400? They made it worse because I only got overheating when I drove to Sedona, AZ - driving uphill for more than 1 hour with speed limit of 65 mph. But after they fixed, the problem came up after 15 minutes driving in Phoenix area - flat, not uphill area and speed limit at 55 mph.
