My puppy Misha and I have tried other doggie daycare/boarding in the area and Camp Bow Wow is by far our favorite! While their appearance as a "camp" complete with "cabins" for each dog may seem a bit cheesy, the quality of care and service makes the place seem lovable. All the "counselors" I have encountered are always smiling and helpful when I bring Misha in.
The thing that puts Camp Bow Wow above the rest is their attention to detail. They are completely cage free during the day, except for feeding times. However, they have three separate rooms--each for different sized dogs. As the parent of an 8 lb pup, it gives me great relief to know my little darling won't be taking on any huge dogs. Also, all the playrooms are indoor as well as outdoor, with a doorway connecting the two.
Some more examples of Camp Bow Wow treats: Each boarding dog is given a frozen peanut butter treat before bed. All dogs are boarded in cabins next to their like sized friends. A treat for parents is they can watch their pets from home on special "camper cams".
Boarding is $37 a night, $25 for daycare. Another special treat is that on Saturdays the camp does daycare for only $15! This was extremely helpful one Saturday when I wanted to go watch the Buckeyes crush Wisconsin in Cleveland and instead of MIsha being in a cage all day she was able to play with her friends. :)
