  • My husband and I have had both medical exams and vision exams here over the last few years. The first year, everything went fine. My only complaint was how expensive the eyeglasses were. Last year, I needed a medical eye exam due to issues I have. I told the optometrist that I cannot use steroids due to migraines. He ends up writing an Rx for eye drops to help the issue I came in for. I fill the script, and lo' and behold, it's for a steroid. I go back, and he gives me sample eye drops to try. I ended up with floaters after using it. I asked to switch optometrists at this point instead of leaving the practice altogether. At the beginning of the year, we upgraded our vision insurance. I made an appointment a month or more out for my husband to have his vision checked. I provided the new insurance information when I scheduled the appointment, He was also going to purchase glasses. The day before his appointment, he receives a call from them that they do not take our insurance, so we cancel. Today, I called our insurance company to obtain a list of in-network providers and to bring up this issue. The representative on the phone called the office and spoke with someone at there named Julie. Per the rep, Julie stated that yes, they do take our insurance. At this point, we do not have time to deal with an office that wastes our time this way. We will be looking for a new optometry practice.
