  • We have lived here in Charlotte for less than a month. We sold our house and moved here from down south. We will buy a house in a year once we figure out work and traffic. Our lease is almost $1700 a month. Nice house and neighborhood. Three days before we arrived we were supposed to get a call from someone to tell us when they were going to meet us at the house to do a walk-through and get the keys. Never got the call. Countless phone calls talking to different people getting nowhere. Finally came down to three days after our lease actually started we were able to get the keys. They did update or Lease to start once we have the keys. Apparently our property manager was out of town and the lady handling her move abruptly quit. I guess they were the only two people in the office besides the receptionist. After we finally got our house we had numerous problems. I am thankful for the people who work the phones in maintenance and also the maintenance guys when they get here. Our last issue was our gas range in which the convection fan was not working in the oven calibration was off to where I had to run the oven at 525° to be able to bake chicken fingers for my kid which then set off the smoke alarm. They sent a contractor out to look at the oven in which she cannot conclusion of the computer board was shot. It is pointless to replace this if the oven is older because they are so expensive you should just buy new oven. Originally the company decided to replace the board. A few days after this happened the oven wouldn't come on at all. This happened on Friday we called it into the maintenance department and specified that we get an answer on what's going on because we need the oven to cook food for our kids. We even asked if we bought a toaster oven with a copy buy it back from us once I fix the oven. Maintenance cannot answer the question so that was up to the property manager who and which never answers her phone. We waited till Monday to finally get a phone call from the property manager who is very kind and apologetic. She stated that the company had decided now to get us a new oven. Fantastic and thank you. The oven is delivered the following Thursday. Delivery guys don't install gas ovens and one remove the broken oven unless I disconnected it. The old oven had a 3/8 flex hose and the new oven has a half inch flex hose. I tried to do the changeover myself. I called put a work order in. This is because maintenance never got back to us about someone coming to install the oven. I wasn't able to remove the old hose because it is stuck on there and not wanting to risk busting the pipe, Have to wait for maintenance. At this point I called maintenance to find out someone come and install the oven. Person I spoke with said that there was a notation that I called but there was no work order put in. So now we have a work order put in for tomorrow but still have gotten no phone calls from anyone to confirm if they're coming and when So now we have a work order put in for tomorrow but still have gotten no phone calls from anyone to confirm if they're coming and when. Call the property manager when I couldn't get any answers for maintenance and left a voicemail on her phone like always never got a phone call back today. Now I've been without an oven for over a week. We still have 11 months to go with this company. I dread what's to come. I'm not here to slander anyone but you can probably guess my opinion of dealing with invitation homes.
