| - I had so much hope for Cancun, but was sorely disappointed - especially for 300 points per night - which is roughly equivalent to $300 per night!
The room was a bit dated but average clean, so I had no problem with those aspects, BUT
Starting with parking, a large number of spaces don't have tire stoppers, so vehicles were parked over the sidewalk - rendering it impassable - meaning all walking in parking lot had to be done in the middle of the drive way with the moving cars. (pictured)
The concrete leading from the parking lot into the resort was dirty with grease and other spots, and obviously hadn't been pressure washed in a very long time. (pictured)
AC was controlled by an analog thermostat that was either on cold all the time, or heat all the time. It didn't stop when it reached a comfortable temperature, and since it was analog, you couldn't accurately set a temp. If you moved the thermostat above ambient, then the heat blew. If the temp was set below ambient, the the ac blew. It was impossible to ever reach a comfortable temperature and then hold that temperature.
The kitchen sink faucet was falling apart, and didn't work well. (pictured)
The shower faucet handle in the main bathroom was also loose and didn't work well.
The carpet in the unit was old, stained, and worn - with thread bare patches next to the tile carpet transition. (pictured)
Although we had a pool view, it was essentially worthless - because the wall in front of the balcony was so high - you can't see a thing while sitting down! (pictured)
Balconies are all very dirty, and haven't been cleaned in a very long time! So don't go out there barefoot (pictured)
Wi-fi is slow, and there are only two devices allowed on your wi-fi at a time. Otherwise, you have to pay daily fees for faster speed and 3 or more connected devices.
Ate at the restaurant, and the food is sub par. My 14 year old daughter and her friend love and devour French fries, BUT - the fries here are so bad they couldn't eat half of one order - together! Smoothies are very sweet and fake tasting.
The location is good if you don't want to be near the hustle and bustle of the strip - so maybe great for families with young children. BUT - there were no other teenagers for my 14 year olds to hang out with. We were so very bored and unimpressed with this property, that we canceled our stay mid stay and moved someplace else!
While it is true that there are four slides, note that two are little, and two are bigger. When we went, the biggest one was CLOSED - so for my 14 year olds, that meant only one slide. I think the slides are the main attraction for kids, and should be on Cancun's priority list for quick repair - so there is no excuse for one being closed!!!!
The jacuzzi under the waterfall was also closed when we were there ...
I do not recommend this property!
