The good:
Toasted bun
Location
Kid Meal free on Sundays
Menu style (write your order out a la sushi dining)
Kiddie cocktail is an option on the menu
Peanut bombs are party pleasers to the kids.
The fries (I only had 8) are pretty good. Seemed to be seasoned well with just parsley. Either way they are better than the onion strings.
Writing on the Walls. Some of the little quips and sayings were * too cute *
The "can do better" portion of this segment:
1) kid burger is a slider. The waitress warned it was small but the kid got over the shock and made do. THIS IS AN FYI.
2) The onion strings leave much to be desired. Everything appeared to be fresh but the onions were so thin I didn't taste onion solely something fried on my tongue. For that - I'll pass and just try the fries on my own plate next time.
3) I didn't get a pickle and was nervous of adding on anything out of "fear" will this cost more? Next time caution will be thrown to the wind and I'll get that pickle*raw onion*maybe a lettuce leaf (insert giggle here).
With the write on menus - things should be fail proof. As other Yelper's have identified some things - no need to repeat 'em.
I look forward to getting a grilled cheese one day minus the bacon.
Overall, it's a burger place on campus. Now that I think about it... I don't get to campus often for a burger even when I was a student then teacher. I've only had Dotty's once over the course of my time here. Umm...seems like a challenge before I'm deployed =)
