I went in to have my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday and was EXTREMELY nervous. Dr. Degen and his staff did everything they could to calm my fears. They played music to my liking and explained post surgery procedures to me beforehand so I knew what to expect. I was pleased to hear that emergencies could be addressed over the weekend if any arise. I was also shocked to learn that Dr. Degen is not only a dentist but a Medical Doctor as well. There is also a nurse on staff so if anything happens in the office they can handle a crisis. I appreciated being put to sleep (not every doctor's office offers this service but it was a must for me). The surgery was of course pain-free and there was not much discomfort after I got home. Today, I feel relatively no pain (staying on top of my pain meds for sure) and I think recovery is probably going to go really well. I'm following ALL directions and praying I don't get a dry socket and can eat solid foods really soon. All-in-all, I was an overreacting hot mess for nothing (picture tears, jitters, drawing up my will, etc.). It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought {feel free to insert "I told you so" here}. I would definitely go back to Dr. Degen if any more medical needs arise and recommend him highly to anyone who needs oral surgery (or botox, or implants, or keloid removal - yeah, he does all that}. Thank you Dr. Degen and staff. You all really rock!
