  • Recently I needed to provide a quick pizza meal for a group in an area where I wasn't familiar with the options. I asked my group's members for suggestions, and Nello's Pizza was the answer I got more than any other. So I decided to give it a try. I ordered a couple pizzas for pick-up. I got a list lost on the way (it's in Ahwatukee, even though the address is Phoenix), but when I called the person who answered pleasantly and calmly directed me there. When I arrived the pizzas were ready to go. I paid and headed on my way. They had these cute little boxes that were round (or maybe the better word is geometric) on the inside and square on the outside for ease of handling/less waste (my best guesses). The smell in my car as I drove to my event was HEAVENLY! It was all I could do not to pull over and break out the pizza myself! Once I arrived at my destination and dug into a slice of the Classic European pizza (14" original crust) I was in truly in HEAVEN! It did not disappoint. I had two slices and ended up wanting more. I also ordered a wheat-crust 14" Four Cheese pizza. We had about 12 people, and let me tell you, every slice was gone in less than a half hour! I will definitely go there again and maybe eat in this time; they had a nice dining area and covered, misted patio too. Thanks, Nello's!
