| - I leased a car from Arrowhead, and while the sales experience was okay, the service dept definitely was not. When Lowe's damaged my car & offered to pay for it, "Nick" actually gave me a sticky note with the "estimate" on it to take to Lowes! I had to talk the service manager into giving me a letterhead invoice with parts prices and labor estimate -- they did not want to "put anything in writing in advance." Unheard of!
Also, at 10K miles, told me my left rear shock was leaking & needed to be replaced; it was under warranty so I shouldn't worry. Well, it was odd, because Lexus are built so well, and this being my 3rd one, I thought it so strange to have a bad shock at only 10K. So they replaced it. Guess what? At 20K mile, they told me my left rear shock was bad and needed replacing! I reminded them they had already replaced it once at 10K and you should have seen the guy's face: like, oops, just got caught in my warranty scam. You would think they would at least check the computer to see what they'd already done with a particular customer. I imagine they figure the customer won't care, since they're not paying for it and the warranty is, but I hate rip-offs in any form!! Plus, I guess they figure customers are stupid and won't remember.
I simply do not trust this service dept at all, which is really rare, because most Lexus dealers are exceptional and pride themselves on quality, but not Arrowhead. I returned my lease at a different dealer (Earnhardt Scottsdale) and will never go to Arrowhead again.
