I like what the Greater Cleveland Aquarium posts on Facebook and I was excited to finally see for myself how cool it is. I was a little surprised to see that it is in the basement of the old powerhouse (the entire building doesn't look very big, either), but I went in with an open mind. My sister and I paid a total of 43 dollars for our over-priced tickets (the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo costs $12.25, which includes the Rainforest. Before we entered the actual aquarium, we were stopped by an employee who told us to "Stand behind that black line", but did not tell us why. When we asked her why, she told us "it's procedure". That caught us off guard. We then realized they were taking a picture of us that we could later purchase at the gift shop. It would have been nice of her to politely ask if we'd like our picture taken. It was a little awkward.
The exhibits were not painted nicely (clearly was not real corals). Overall a disappointment and not worth the price.
