| - Avoid this place at all costs! I took both of my dogs here, one for a dental cleaning and the other for a dental and to be spayed. They ended up only doing the dental on my male dog, they would not put my female under due to a heart murmur. I dropped them off at approx 8AM, this process took forever. There were two people ahead of me, one girl working, and she seemed to be very lost and not quite sure of what she was doing. By the time it was our turn my dogs were both very worked up and upset. I dropped them off, got a call a couple hours later that they did not feel comfortable about putting my one dog under, great, no problem. I asked if she was ok or if she was still really worked up, they said she was fine and said the dental on my other dog would be done in about 2 hours. I was out getting a couple things done, ran by my house to drop some stuff off and then headed over about an hour and a half after the call. I figured I would go and at least get my female dog, wait the 30 minutes for my male and take them home.
When I got there, they refunded the fees that were paid for my female in cash even though it was paid for on a credit card which seemed odd to me. I then asked if they had at least gotten her nails cut, the only thing they ended up needing to do to her. They said no but they would get it done right then. So she went in the back, brought my dog out and took her into a room toward the front of the building. All I can say is they are lucky I didn't jump the counter and come into that room myself. I could very clearly hear them yelling at her, smacking her, I could hear her banging into the walls...it made me sick to my stomach. When I questioned it after they brought her out they said she doesn't like her nails being cut...if my dog is nervous, yelling at her and smacking her around is not going to make that any better! I was so mad I was shaking, I asked when my other dog would be ready, they told me another 45 minutes...fine, I took my female and took her home to get her out of that place. I dropped her off with my mom and headed back for my other dog. 45 minutes passed, they said another 45 minutes...then another 15 minutes....by now it's closing time. So they bring my dog out from the back, still very very sedated, can't walk on his own, they had to help me get him loaded into my car because he was so out of it. Of course on the short drive home he was freaking out because he wasn't given time to come out of his anesthesia. I got him home and had to lock him in my room with me and sit and try to comfort him for well over an hour while the drugs wore off, he was breathing erratically, didn't seem to know where he was, couldn't walk....it was horrible. What kind of office sends a dog home like that and does not monitor them as they come out of anesthesia? The whole experience was a nightmare! My female dog flinched anytime I moved my hand near her head for months after this, she never did that before. Nobody else has ever had an issue trimming her nails before or since....and even if she was hard to trim that is no excuse for how they treated my dog. They seem to employ students from a local vet tech program because they had scrubs on from the school, but they are not monitored or helped, I never once saw a vet or anyone who did not have school scrubs on. This place is horrible!
