  • A case of incredibly bad service doomed our brunch at Brocach this morning. Nearly 40 minutes before our order was taken, and that's just the beginning. Had to ask multiple times for water, coffee was always, "still brewing", and everything just seemed to take extra long. Once the food was ready, they literally brought out two plates of food each trip to the table. Maybe they should invest in some serving trays. Here's the odd part of the whole service issue, there were only 3 or 4 tables seated in the whole restaurant. Who knows. The food in general was fine. Our table of 4 adults and 2 kids had a variety, including the chocolate chip pancakes, a veggie omelet, the Irish breakfast, and I had the corned beef hash. The dry toast wasn't bad after we asked for jam. The hash, was really just corned beef chunks mixed with diced potato. Pretty simple mix it together prep, but still tasted good. Overall, I'll be in no hurry to return. Too many great restaurants in Madison.
