AWFUL customer service and tries to scam you. When I signed up I spoke to an associate, I told him I have a coworker who gets a monthly rate of $35/month and if they can honor that I would be willing to sign up. However, he attempts to trick me into believing that they paid a $200 initiation fee when she actually didn't. Moral of the story, don't get sucked into believing that you're getting the "best" price and know that quite a few members only pay around $30-40/month (with no initiation fee). Like one of the other reviewers mentioned, they will trash talk other gyms if you bring up the fact that other facilities offer better prices and amenities
Cancelling your membership is a huge pain and for some reason whenever I want to speak to the operations manager, she is nowhere to be found and I'm always given a new excuse for why she's "unavailable". The "only" 2 ways to cancel are:
1) speak to the OM in person but she only works mon-fri 9-5pm which makes no sense for people who work full time so how do you expect people to drop in?
2) Print out a form then mail it to their HQ in the U.S.; why am I going through the hassle to drive to a post office, PAY for my own postage to mail something that can be easily just scanned or faxed
In terms of the gym itself, the change rooms are a mess. I recalled visiting one of the shower stalls and seeing a bunch of shampoo sample packets left in the showers. A week later of visiting the gym, the same foil packets were STILL in there (makes you question how often they clean the washrooms). The pool water is quite murky and SUPER salty and makes for a real uncomfortable swim. The only good thing about this gym is their cardio equipment, there's always one readily available and it's very up-to-date.
