| - I don't wanna waste my time with this shit so I will keep this brief.
-Bought a Ford key for my Ford Explorer for around $50 (can't remember, this was months ago).
-Took it to Advantage Ford to get it cut. Had an appointment and still waited around for literally an hour and a half (sweet).
-They gave it back to me and said my original key (the one we were copying off of) was warped and therefore, they were unable to cut it. They sent me to Woodridge Ford to see if their machine would work.
-Drove down to Douglasglen to Woodridge Ford, there were also unable to do anything with my key.
-Went back to Advantage. They informed me that they did their job and cut and programmed the key, it was my fault that the original key was warped and unable to be cut. So I would be out over $100, with a busted key.
Here's where it gets stupid. I took my car to a locksmith. They said my key was totally fine, and that Advantage Ford shaved it down way too hard and ruined it to the point of no return. Not only did they charge me for a programming for an unusable key - they ruined the one I gave them to cut. I informed them of this, and they did nothing. No money back for the key they ruined, they still charged me for the key programming even though the key was unusable, and nothing so much as a free coffee or AN APOLOGY.
Wasted hours of my time, gas driving around, and no refund.
Great customer service guys, I will make sure to recommend you to everyone!
