These are the dark blue taxi cabs you see around once in a while. When I needed a ride to the airport in the middle of the day, I called a few other companies asking for a flat rate from my place, they all quoted higher rates than what is set by our glorious City of Toronto, and Royal Taxi was the only one that quoted me the exact same rate you can find here http://www.gtaa.com/en/travellers/airport_information/ground_transportatio/taxis__limousines/
I booked it for the specific houry and I have got to say that it arrived right on time. The driver helped me with my luggage and then I climbed inside. OMG, the air inside was unbreathable, stunk of cigarette smoke, which as a non-smoker I hate. Since the time was pressing I did not get another cab and had to cope however I could. What happened to the mandatory smoke-free environment outlined by the City? The interior did not look very clean either. Luckily I got to the airport on time despite driver making some odd choices like taking a collector when the sign said that express is moving well and collectors moving slow. When I said that I will pay flat rate in cash and can I please get my change back the driver didn't look happy at all, he mumbled something under his nose and handed over my change. Overall I got where I needed on time and paid what I intended, so it is ok, but I have been subjected to the heavy second hand smoking factor and less than pleasant treatment.
