  • I was interested to read Laura's review, because when I went on July 18 the POS sytem was down as well. The result was waiting two hours for an appetizer and a drink. The hostess warned us right away that the sytem was down and it would take a few minutes for a server to get to us. After half an hour, the hostess wound up taking our drink and food order. The drinks came, and then we waited, And waited, And waited some more. The first dish came out, but wasn't what we had ordered, so back it went. The correct dish had been delivered to the table next to us. They seemed to enjoy it. My friend's dish finally arrived - a raw tuna and avocado salad. Mine didn't, and even though it was 85 degrees outside (we were on the patio), she insisted on waiting until my lobster salad came so we could eat together. Some time later my lobster salad was also served to the table next to us. They ate this as well. Although, in their defense, they had been waiting some time for food as well. When my dinner finally landed, we had been there an hour and a half, had long since finished our drinks, had to ask for the bread baskets that other people had on their tables, and I had to go and get some cashews from the back of my car to stave off a blood sugar crash. The hostess was extremely apologetic and send over a complimentary order of popcorn shrimp. This was delivered - you guessed it - to the table next to us. The servers themselves couldn't have been nicer or more apologetic, but it was not a great evening Altlhough all the food was delicious and beauitfully seasoned and spiced, the entire experience was so frustrating I won't go back. There are a lot of very good restaurants in Toronto that have great service. It really shone a light on how service can be as important as the food in enjoying a night out.
