| - I visited Rent A Lift for the last time today. I'll remain diplomatic in my review, but would never recommend this place to any of my colleagues. This afternoon I experienced a level of unprofessionalism, and disrespect beyond reproach by Sal, it's proprietor. During frequent courses of fixing my car at Rent A Lift, I was not successful in having any quality auto parts (NAPA) store deliver to his shop, as advertised. The Rent A Lift concept is a great concept, but it's Proprietor has passed his expiration date for this type of enterprise, recognized through my verbal exchange with Sal as he believed it was appropriate to chastise a customer for taking longer to repair their vehicle, due to having to Uber to a (cheap) parts store nearby, and Ubering back. My last straw with this indignant proprietor came when he proceed to ask a nearby body mechanic to NOT allow me to take my car out of the bay until I paid him his $35.00 bucks. As if I was some type swindler or criminal who stole money from him in the past, RACIST. I have always paid Sal, so that has never been an issue. And, then as I'm cleaning up before getting in my car to leave his bay, he tells me he could charge for another hour, which I graciously went to reach into my car to get his money, but his relenting that he didn't want it. I expressed to this Proprietor, there is an appropriate way of conducting business, and his poor communication skills are to his detriment. I informed this Proprietor, there's a question he need to ask himself with all the Do It Yourselfers & mechanics in PHX, "Why are your bays Empty?" Today, I discovered his business practices are obsolete and connected to his lack in realization you are now in a customer-centric society. You don't chastise a customer for taking longer to fix their vehicle, you don't proceed to walk away and make inflammatory and derogatory statements about your customer to a nearby mechanic, and you don't treat customers with disrespect. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL Again, the "Rent A Lift" is a great concept, but this requires new innovative younger and progressive thinking. You don't close your shop at 2 pm in the afternoon, especially after being close on weekends for almost 1-month. And, lastly when Customers call you on Saturdays to ask whether your open, you don't tell them you'll be their in 1-hour and don't show...SMH. I will take my business elsewhere, and advise the same. If you do decided to to go here, ask Sal for a copy of the waiver agreement, and a receipt after he takes your CASH. The Proprietor is committing TAX EVASION!!!
