I'm so glad that the LGBTQ Center made the move to their new digs or else Bronze Cafe wouldn't have been possible! I have been a part of the Center through volunteer programs and trainings and after a few times in the place I realized I needed to try the food that the cafe had to offer.
I tried the beet salad which was delicious, very fresh and flavorful which made me so sad when my little plate was empty. With the salad I tried the LGBTQ sandwich which is such a great play on the well-known favorite, BLT. Unfortunately, this sandwich at the cafe has now and forever ruined my BLT experience! I loved it too much and I'm pretty sure not even Pinterest can cure the cravings! I'll just have to settle for trying again some time, but I don't want to miss out on all the other delicious things the cafe has to offer. What made this sandwich particularly delicious was the maple bacon jam...SERIOUSLY! Maple Bacon Jam. Amazing, enough said. All their ingredients are so fresh and they damn well feel like they are made with love.
The cafe also provides so many vegan and vegetarian options which I believe is so hard to find when surrounded by meat-eater locations. The next time I'm there I really wanna try the Tree of Life Pita (I've heard great things about it) and maybe some of their slow drip iced coffee. Oh, and they have desserts! Vegan cheesecakes, cookies and cakes! There's just so many things I want to try there and the best part is that I leave without feeling like I just ate a ton of fried bar food that will be killing me later. Their food and especially their fun fruit water drinks are so health conscious and yummy that you can't go wrong.
Give the Bronze Cafe a try!
