  • My husband and I have been going to Village Cafe for years. We used to drive from the east side of Madison over for breakfast as it was our favorite breakfast place. Now that we live in Cottage Grove we go there frequently and with our kids too! The staff is great, very friendly, and even has remembered many of our favorite dishes! Virginia is so nice and you will either find her cooking in the kitchen or taking care of the customers. All of their food is delicious and comes out quickly. I love their crepes, BLT, and patty melt! My husband is a huge fan of their skillet and pretty much every single one of their homemade soups! The kids love the Mickey Mouse pankcakes with sausage and bacon. Their american fries are perfection, made like a true american fry is supposed to be made!! Try them out, you won't regret it!
