  • Been here several times and each time I try something new and find something I like whether its a salad, sandwich or calzone. Because its a New Orlean's style restaurant, it goes without saying there will be creole, jumbalaya and catfish. What most people are worried about before eating here is whether there is food here that does not fit those categories or isn't spicy and the answer is yes. First off, the fries are great - perfectly crispy, salty, peppery and maybe some creole in there for a side that no one will deny is fantastic. The NOLA club is a nice twist on the club sandwich, turkey on ciabatta, with spicy aeoli, some crisp bacon, pickled tomatoes and little bit of avacado: A safe move done in a way that makes it exciting. The steak salad is also a good move for those with tenuous affinities for spice but with little flairs to make it unique. Each dish here is tastefully created and consistently delivered. The atmosphere is nice and is intended to make one dream of Mardi Gras but patron's won't forget that Pittsburgh is right outside. The service is friendly but nothing to write home about. Overall the food is a 5 but with the service and slightly-above-generic atmosphere, the place gets a solid 4 in my books.
