| - If I could give a zero star review, I would. Just like many of the other reviews on here, this place is just AWFUL!!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!
Let me start from the beginning. I was being very frugal and wanted to save $20, so I decided to go with Payless Rental b/c it was the best rental quote I received. Well, knowing what I know now, I think paying the extra $20 to go with any of the other reputable rental companies would've been far worth the extra $20 for customer service and reliability.
First thing, I waited about 35 mins in line with just 2 other people in front of me. It was late, and I was tired. They were extremely slow.
Secondly, the person who was helping me kept trying to sign me up with all these insurance after I kept saying no. Then next thing I know I was charged for insurance and so we had to re-do the entire rental process again in order to remove the insurance policy off my quote.
Thirdly, when I went downstairs to pick up my car, I had to thoroughly inspect the car for all sorts of bumps, dents, and scratches. I mistakenly filled it in the incorrect drawing box under return status- as if I made these marks after returning the car from renting it a few days, so I asked the person at the desk to provide me with a new form. This is where it gets bad: he responds saying it's the "same thing" then it infuriated me that he thought i was dumb enough to fall for that. I said NO IT'S NOT!!! then he responded saying, "well did you buy insurance? if so, you don't have to worry about paying for any damage." So appalling when i heard that, and then I demanded for a new sheet, which only required him to fill in TWO short lines for me. It angered me so b/c they tried to trick their clients into saying it's the same difference knowing I did not buy insurance, just so I can pay a hefty fee for "new" scratch marks upon returning the car.
Never have I seen such shady and unprofessional service as this rental company. DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT rent your car rental here unless you want to get RIPPED OFF. I WILL NEVER rent from this place or any other unknown rental companies again. I just wanted to get the cheapest quote and I ONLY saved $20 by going here....If I had spent that extra $20 to rent at enterprise, it would've been worth paying more for their customer service. that saying " you get what you paid for" has never been so true.
