  • one star is too many and my honest, truthful review somehow got deleted. I took my English Bulldog here on a Sunday because he wasn't eating and when he did he threw up his food. I was going to board him initially because I had to go out of town for work but when I realized he wasn't feeling well, I rushed him to the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic (unfortunately). First of all, when my dog is in a new place he gets excited and anxious and doesn't eat for days. Plus he wasn't feeling well. I was told by Dr. Lockhart that he would be kept in close 'observation' and they would keep an eye on his condtion. I called the next day (Monday) and the receptionist said my dog was doing fine. I called the following day, suspicious at this point because of how he was when I brought him in, and was told again that he was doing 'fine'. I asked how he was eating and was told that he was eating well. I immediately knew this was a lie and came back to town to get him out. I told the receptionist that afternoon I was coming to get him and no problems. About a half hour before I went to pick up my dog from the so-called 'observation' Tuesday evening, I received a call from the distressed Dr. Lockhart saying my Bulldog didn't look well and he wanted to run blood tests!!!! so, supposedly in a matter of hours, my dog went from fine to not well! I arrived at the clinic and my dog was yellow with jaundice and a very nervous looking Dr. Lockhart advised me to rush him to the animal hospital where he stayed for two weeks near death and had to have surgery for acute liver failure! Therefore, my dog was never under observation and they had no idea he was sick (which was why I took him there in the first place) until two days later when I was on my way to pick him up!!!! If you love your animal , I beg that you don't take it here! I will be bringing this up with the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board. Before you believe all the 5 star ratings the staff of this worthless clinic most likely wrote, read the filtered reviews as they are most likely truthful!!!!! These veterinarians are hacks and don't care about your pet...they only care about making money!!!!!!
