  • Why did I not come here sooner, when my husband and I first moved here?! Location - Far, close to Charlotte Douglas Airport. Place - They have a lot of local home grown foods, plants, meats, and seafoods. When entering the establishment, to your right (first shelter straight ahead when driving up to the market to either turn right or left), you will get some fresh meats/seafood by farmers, and some other vegetables, delicious kettlecorn, fried pork skin, and heavenly lemon pound cake sold by this one lady ($7 for a small one & she accepts credit cards!) -- the others here takes cash only. The next area will have your abundance of variety like the first, but they take credit cards (min of $10) and Red Kappas and Produce on the Run. The last barn like shelter, houses arts and crafts. You'll find local treasure from artists who crafted and made quilts, rocking horse, jewelries, and such. Over to your far left shelter, where you drive up to find parking, will be plants that you can take home to garden - there are a lot of selections. They also have a NC Master Gardener who will answer any gardening needs. They were so helpful when I asked them on my concerns about growing tomatoes, eggplants, and jalapeños. Service - you go up to each of the farmers and pay them for what you have picked up. Price - The first time I came here, I spent only $17 for three bags worth of produce. I was so happy! The second time, I have spent $12 with two bags worth. This time, my third, I only needed lettuce, mixed greens and eggplants for $4.50. I came out always a happy camper
