I went in to this location as they are listed as an Interstate Battery Dealer on interstates website. As a former interstate battery dealer myself I am very familiar with the policy. The shop told me that I must have a receipt showing that the battery was purchased through them. ALL interstate battery dealers know that there is no paperwork required for the warranty on their batteries at ANY dealer. As long as they stock the battery, they are required to warranty any bad batteries brought in to them for replacement. I was told that I had to pay to have it tested. I was told that they have had issues with Interstate reimbursing them in the past. Anything to get me to leave them alone. In the warranty document sold with every battery it states that the battery must be fully charged when tested, and show "bad battery" on the tester. Mine is fully charged and testing bad. Long story short, I am 100% sure that this shop is required to swap my battery over the counter under warranty and they are simply unwilling to do so. I told them that I didn't want to leave this review, (especially because I work in this industry) but they are refusing to do something that they are required to do as a dealer. And it will cost me time and money to go to Terrible Herbst to have it replaced. I didn't buy the battery from terrible's, but they know the warranty policy requirements and are fully willing to replace it for free. Bad business. Obviously dishonest. AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS SHOP.
