If the service wasn't TERRIBLE, Grotto would have gotten 4 stars because the food was delicious, but I am holding a grudge because of the service.
Located in the Golden Nugget on Fremont Street in DTLV, it is an upper-scale Italian restaurant. I got the chicken parm, which was disproportionate with the pasta to chicken ratio...you'll be able to see in the attached picture. There is legit one scoop of pasta and a chicken the size of my head. It was still v good despite this. Also got the calamari and lobster bisque for appetizers, also tasty.
But now for the airing of grievances:
I had to probably wait 20 minutes after the rest of my party's food came with no apology from the wait staff for my meal. The service all around sucked, if I'm being frank. Our water glasses were always empty. The waitress forgot to bring out the lobster bisque soup, so we got it after dinner was served - isn't soup the appetizer (???!!!) Took forever for our cocktails and not once did they check up on us. It was a Friday night, so I would give them the benefit of the doubt if it was busy, but it wasn't...we were a party of 6 and ordered over $300 worth of food and beverages and got the worst service ever. We will not be back here and I would advise you to chose a different place if you are in the area visiting.
