  • Our first few visits were great. The service was efficient, the food was well prepared and made with quality ingredients (fresh & flavorful). We have been bringing visitors to Rise & Shine telling them what a "great place" it is. Unfortunately, our experiences of late have not been great. The service has slowed considerably. Drinks are empty before refills are offered. Butter or syrup come well after the meal is served. The food is room temperature and the portions have diminished. Tomatoes are yellow and scarce in a dish, eggs are dry and overlooked, toast is barely brown. The fruit waffles are just a plain waffle with fruit in a cup on the side. There are a lot of restaurant options for Southern Highlands area. It is disappointing that Rise & Shine isn't maintaining the original level of service & quality needed to keep my patronage.
