| - 12/31/2017 It is unfortunate that I have to change my review, based on my most recent experience.
Only 2 movers showed up, instead of 3. The movers me out of my condo pretty quickly, but the 5 minute drive to the new place took them 40-45 minutes, which wouldn't be a big problem except that I was being charged by the hour. The guys took an extremely long time to move me in to my new place. I mean an EXTREMELY long time. They told me it was taking so long because there was only 2 of them instead of 3, as it should have been. So a move that should have cost me around $285, ended up costing over $400. I contacted the owner and explained the situation, and he blamed the lengthy move on the places I was moving from/to, but acknowledged I was supposed to have 3 movers not 2, even though the guys flat out told me they were taking so long was because they were missing a guy (I didn't even ask, they volunteered that info to me). I am very disappointed, as I haves used this company before (see below), and hoped that the owner would act with some integrity. It is very unfortunate that they were missing a mover, but I shouldn't have to pay for that. The owner said I was charged a lower rate for the extra time it took, but I still ended up paying over $120 than I should have. The owner said he would contact me after the new year, but today is Jan 8th, and I have not heard back from him. By the way he was trying to blame everything on the locations I was moving from/to, I honestly don't expect to hear back. As a customer, I don't appreciate being dismissed with excuses when I feel I was done a wrong. This company may have enough business that they can disregard any complaints that come in, but that is no way to do business, and it will come around to bite them. I'm not going to play the blame game with the owner, but I will leave this review, never use their company again, and never refer anyone to them again.
June 2016 - I am late in leaving this review, but when I looked up Taurus Movers to use them again for an upcoming move, I saw a negative review that I have a hard time believing. The crew from Taurus were awesome movers. They were on time, kept me informed, were very careful with everything they moved, and they were FAST. I have had horrible experiences with other moving companies in the past, and had sworn off using moving companies. My roommate had arranged the last move with Taurus, and I was very skeptical and my expectations were low. All I can say is I was very pleasantly surprised. I look forward to usTaurus again with the upcoming move, as I really never ever want to move my stuff by myself again.
