Apparently my friend use to be a carnie ... and this is where he and his dad worked when he was growing up.
We visited to pay tribute to the Tiny Tom's donuts, eat at the giant food exhibition hall, check out the rides and the soon to be seen on TV wares all the people were peddling. They had everything from Chinese souvenirs to hot tubs. The highlight for me was watching the sand sculpture contest and some guy stacking rocks.
While I probably wouldn't travel to Toronto just to go attend the CNE, it was fun hanging out there for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon. No rides for me though ... while I love roller coasters, I make it a point not to ride anything that disassembles itself on a monthly basis.
