  • My experience going to this walk in clinic was NOT GOOD. First, i was not told that Dr. Rajiv Balasuriya is the subject of a referral to the Discipline Committee into allegations that he engaged in the sexual abuse of a patient; and engaged in conduct or an act or omission relevant to the practice of medicine that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional. (http://www.cpso.on.ca/DoctorDetails/Balasuriya-Rajiv-Dhananjaya/0274107-96604) Until AFTER I was in the room to see him (I was not given a choice to see someone else, I was just given a form to sign to say it was ok for his nurse to be in the room with him because of the college of doctors requirements). He abruptly stuck a swab into my mouth without any rationale, once asked he said it was to test for strep throat. Apparently, they can test for this in 10 minutes because I was told I did not have strep and I only had a virus which he could do nothing about. He gave me a note and sent me on my way. I got way worse, and had to see my own doctor who gave me a diagnosis and put me on the appropriate medications.
