| - So we've been coming to the MGM grand/ signature for about 7 years. Usually love it as it's a one stop shop for dining, amenities, poolside and entertainment. This visit however has inspired a negative rant. We arrived half an hour before check in time. We were happy to wait until checkin time for our room to be ready. Well that time passed, and then we waited in the lobby for another 90 minutes for our room. They didn't even bother calling us when the room was finally ready, and only told us when my husband went and complained. The next day we wanted to print tickets for an Mgm show. Front desk told us we had to print them at the business center. 3 attempts at printing, 45 minutes and $50 in fees later, still no luck, at which point the staff tell us the concierge would have printed them for free. Cut to Sunday, and we pay $300 for a tiny cabana where the fridge and tv are both broken, and the lounge chairs are held together by threads. I shimmy the umbrella of the empty cabana next to us over an inch to have some shade, and two staff immediately fly over and start lecturing me about touching the furniture and how it's prohibited to move anything. Bar in the pool area doesn't open until 11 but you can't bring anything in to the area, so basically no eating or drinking until 11. The ONLY saving grace was Jen, the cabana host, who sincerely did her best to accommodate us and make us happy. Super fail Mgm. Get over the stupid bureaucracies and just try and be a bit helpful. We are not drunk spring breakers. We are families with money to spend. Customer service fail.
