DO NOT USE KELLY GLASS FOR ANYTHING BUT PICTURE FRAMES... YOU'LL BE SORRY!
Kelly glass cost me $200+... Read why.
The tale of two visits.
Visit #1 gets FIVE STARS for glass and zero for bad advice.
Visit #2 I'd give it NEGATIVE a million
Took a picture frame to them and for a reasonable price they put a piece of glass in it. They even put the pewter metal back around it at no extra cost.
This was when I asked about a residential window that needed glass. He said they would have to see the frame because all frames are similar so bring the frame.
Like a MORON this is what I did.
Except that it was complete UNNECESSARY when the current guy there when I brought my now destroyed and removed aluminum frame in told me they could cut and replace glass on site for like $100.00 per pane.
Then he says to make a new window would cost me $1600.00... What?
* The window is a standard size.
* they sell these at home depot and Lowe's for $188+
* the big owner was there and the guy helping me get a quote seemed reluctant to help, just quote the stupid price.
So basically I left.
Bought a $188.00 window that I didn't need, plus all the stucco to replace, plus the cost to install it (window install sucks, never easy unless it's new construction) and a lot of time, drama and stress later.
Use them for your picture frames. Much cheaper than any art stores like Michael's.
Stay away for Windows.
